Soft-Guard™ Septa provide easier penetration of autosampler needles and better resealing than other brands, for longer instrument up-time and fewer missed injections. Pre-Slit Septa are normally recommended for Waters Alliance and Acquity instruments. X Shape Pre-Slit provides a greater target area for needles and are easier to penetrate but do not reseal as well as single slit septa.

These 9 mm black screw caps come with a press-fit septum made from a white PTFE/red silicone bi-layer, suited for a broad range of applications including HPLC where samples are less volatile. This widely used design is compatible with all wide-opening 2 mL glass and polypropylene vials, as well as 2 mL micro and High Recovery Vials. The press-fit, non-bonded design allows for easier disposal and recycling of components.

Medium durometer red rubber with a .015 layer of clear PTFE. Great and economical for routine analysis. Not recommended for multiple injections.

Soft polyethylene caps are more pliable than other Snap Caps and are easier to place on the vial. Popular choice when using a large number of caps at one time. These caps may not seal as well as other Snap Caps and should be used with sample solvents with low volatility. This septa was designed for specific, older instruments such as Agilent 1050 and to provide extra cleaning when "wiping" a needle. Also provides a small degree of better resealing after injection compared to Silicone Rubber / PTFE Septa.
